Warwick Tetrathlon
On the weekend of 11/12 July the Warwickshire PC hosted the Area 7 Tetrathlon at Whitfield Farm, Warwick and
Warwick School.
Once again Ledbury fielded teams and individuals in several of the classes, including the Adults class.
Saturday and the sun shone whilst they shot, before a first taste of the cross country course to be ridden on the Sunday.
As always the course was in wonderful condition with some testing skinnies for the senior and intermiate classes, as well as great small enclosed courses for the tadpoles and tiddlers. The swimming was at the Warwick School, the junior girls filling the last heat and swimming between 8 and 9 lengths in 3 minutes. The adults swam last, which was rather lucky considering the volume of water that left the pool when some members parents dived in.
Sunday, Jack Harper was first ledbury to go in the senior section at 9.30am, and the last to go was Hannah Cook in the mini section around 2.30pm, so the organised had plenty to get though. The run followed round a Rape field with a very very step hill for half of the course, the kids made light work of it, with Camilla Barnes taking best run in the junior section. The fathers struggling but completed, without the need for oxygen.
A successful weekend wonderfully hosted as always by the Whitfield farm team and the Warwickshire, thank you
